Malabar Palace

Authentic Sadhya in KL

Sadhya is the traditional Kerala vegetarian feast served at festivals such as Onam, built around rice with a spread of vegetable curries. Malabar Palace's own site describes the tradition behind it: Onam, "the biggest festival of Kerala", is marked by "ambrosial Onasadya" among its celebrations, and Kerala meals are traditionally served on a fresh banana leaf and eaten by hand.

Malabar Palace does not serve a fixed sadhya set menu, but its "From The Garden" vegetarian section carries many of the dishes that make up a traditional sadhya spread — Malabar Avial, Malabar Sambar, Malabari Kalan, Thoran, Morru Curry and Pulissery — served alongside Curd Rice and Plain Rice from the Basmati Rices section. For dessert, the menu lists Kerala Pradaman (Payasam) and Ada Pradaman, both traditional sadhya-style payasams.

Malabar Palace is halal, so its full vegetarian range is available to all guests. It's open daily from 11:00 AM to 10:00 PM at Hartamas Shopping Centre, Sri Hartamas, with dishes typically RM 20-40 per person.

Ask our staff about the Kerala vegetarian dishes on the day, browse the full menu, or book a table for your visit.
